Local Newspaper Expands Mission with First Book from Beloved Community Partner
MILL CREEK, WA — Mill Creek View Newspaper is proud to announce the launch of Mill Creek View Publishing, a new imprint dedicated to amplifying voices that strengthen our
community.
The division’s inaugural release, Seizing Compassion: Taking Intentional Action to Love Our Neighbors by Pastor Judy Hoff, represents everything the newspaper has championed for years: faith, service, and community transformation.
Esther’s Place and the Hoff Foundation have long held a special place in this newspaper’s heart. For decades, we have chronicled their tireless work rescuing women from homelessness, addiction, and trafficking—and watched countless lives rebuilt through their programs. Publishing Judy’s story felt like a natural extension of our shared mission.
“It started with one woman at a garbage can,” the book begins. “It became a movement that transformed thousands.” Through Seizing Compassion, Pastor Hoff shares the victories and setbacks of building Esther’s Place, New Creation Communities, Queen It’s a New Day, and Trauma Reboot—programs that have lifted women out of devastation and into thriving, purpose-filled lives.
Part testimony, part practical guide, this book is for pastors, ministry leaders, nonprofit workers, and anyone who has looked at a hurting world and wondered: can one person really make a difference? The answer is yes.
